Jesus had a special mission to the marginalised Essay Example

Jesus had an uncommon strategic the underestimated Essay Jesus had a unique crucial the minimized clarify this utilizing models from the gospel, and state why this incited an unfriendly response from some Jews.A underestimated individual is somebody who for reasons unknown is on the edge of society.Jesus consistently had an exceptional spot in the hearts of all the minimized individuals he interacted with. Jesus job was in every case clear. He rewarded all of the underestimated as he would have gotten a kick out of the chance to have been dealt with himself.In Jesus time many individuals were minimized simply like in todays society, for exampleLepers were minimized they were viewed as pariahs in their locale due to their feared skin sickness. Infection was frequently observed as discipline from God for sin.Tax authorities were minimized they were viewed as pariahs in their own locale since they regularly bamboozled individuals into accepting they needed to pay more cash for charge. Individuals don't care for being cheated out of hard earne d cash and that is the reason individuals once in a while associated with these assessment collectors.Samaritans were minimized they were viewed as untouchables in their own locale since they had hitched agnostic intruders, and they had constructed their own Temple on Mount Gerezim.An case of how Jesus rewarded the underestimated is in the story (Luke 5: 12-14) Jesus mends an outsider Jesus was in a town were there was a man with a feared skin malady. At the point when the man saw Jesus he hurled himself down at Jesus feet and asked Sir in the event that you need to u can make me clean Jesus answered I would like to, be perfect the malady left the man and Jesus said Dont disclose to anyoneAnother model Jesus set for us in our treatment of the underestimated is (Luke 18: 35-53) Jesus recuperates a Blind Beggar who has confidence A visually impaired man heard that Jesus was passing and he shouted out to Jesus child of David! Have compassion for me, he was advised to stay silent by the group, yet he yelled significantly stronger. Jesus heard his cry and said what do you need me to accomplish for you? he said I need to see again Jesus answered then observe, your confidence has made you well he could see again, and followed Jesus expressing appreciation to God.The Jews could never connect with these individuals and when they saw that a man named the Messiah did this bewildered and irritated them greately.As these two models show Jesus rewarded every single minimized individual that he interacted with a ton of regard and love. We should attempt to follow this model Jesus has set for us all.Jesus demeanor for an amazing duration regularly incited an antagonistic response from certain Jews, as he would frequently challenge their laws and lifestyle. He denounced their conduct towards each other and this disappointed them extraordinarily. They felt Jesus was a danger to their great name, and they set about evolving this. A case of how Jesus would outrage them is (Luke 1 4: 1-24) Jesus recuperates a wiped out man on the Sabbath Jesus was at a main Pharisees house and individuals were watching him intently. A man whose legs and arms were swollen came to Jesus asking to get recuperated. So Jesus said to the Pharisee Does our law permit recuperating on the Sabbath or not? the Pharisee couldn't answer Jesus at that point recuperated the man and sent him on.The Pharisees were taking a gander at Jesus and he said to them in the event that anybody of you had a child or bull fall into the well on the Sabbath would you not haul him out without a moment's delay? they couldn't address this inquiry. Jesus regularly put the Pharisees in positions this way, and after some time they got so insulted that they plotted to get Jesus killed. The Pharisees and different strict pioneers of this time were not as acceptable hearted as Jesus, and they couldnt contend with him. They blamed him for irreverence and this is the reason he insulted them and caused an unfriendly r esponse.

Net bans Essay Example For Students

Net bans Essay In July of 1995, Florida put into impact another law prohibiting the utilization of gill nets in all inshore water of Florida. The law contained two critical arrangements: 1) some non-gill nets would be permitted, yet greatest size would now be restricted to 500 square feet; and 2) joblessness pay would be accessible to influenced netters through a 20 million dollar support put aside to buy the nets that would be made obsolete(Stearns, par.5). This restriction on nets has prompted an emotional rebound for an assortment of fish animal groups, including the Spanish mackerel and Florida mullet. In the accompanying paper I expect to show the boycott laws, what they envelop whom they influenced, just as their response. Above all, I mean to show the boycott has made a general enhancement for Floridas marine condition. In the course of recent years, Florida has been known for having probably the best recreational angling just as marine situations. Local people and voyagers the same could pick any offered day to spend on the water and come back with a wide assortment of game fish. Tragically, over the previous decade this pattern has been on the decrease. The reason for this abatement in the number of inhabitants in Floridas marine condition just as in different pieces of the world, is the aimless utilization of the monofilament angling net (par.2). One of the zones that have seen exactly how damaging these nets can be, is the Florida Coast. In 1990, business gill-netters collected 26 million pounds of mullet (DeYoung, par.56). In 1994, Floridas became frightened when the mullet producing populace plunged to around 15 percent of ordinary. They additionally felt the effect this loss of search food had on game fish. Probably the biggest reason for this plunge is the rewarding business sector in the Far East for mullet column, which had totally wrecked Floridas supply of these fish (Stearns, par.2-3). Because of this huge decrease, the Florida Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) put limitations on recreational and business collect of mullet. In 1992, recreational anglers were presently restricted to fifty fish for every pontoon every day, with no size cutoff, while business anglers have no sack limit, yet are required to discharge any mullet under eleven crawls long. The consequences of the limitations brought down the collect on mullet by recreational anglers from 4,000,000 to one million pounds. There was a 75 percent decre ase in recreational gather because of the FMCs limitations. Then again, the business arrivals went up, until the breakdown started in 1993 (DeYoung, Par.52-57). After the limitations flopped in 1993, the individuals of Florida requested something be finished. So in November of 1994, they went to the surveys and casted a ballot 72 percent to 28 percent for an established alteration to boycott all gill nets in state waters (Julavits, Par.2,4). At the point when the law became effective in July 1995, it contained two noteworthy arrangements: 1) some non-gill nets would be permitted, however most extreme size would now be constrained to 500 square feet; and 2) joblessness pay would be accessible to influenced netters through a 20 million dollar subsidize put aside to buy the nets that would be made out of date. This net buyback therefore got one of the most dishonorable tricks in Floridas history. The business netters immediately found a proviso that paid them up to multiple times more for seine nets than gill nets. A slight and modest alteration was expected to change over the gill nets into seine nets that met the arrangements of this law. For instance, one netter turned in fifty-six of these altered seine nets for over $190,000 thousand dollars. A few different netters passed the $100,000 thousand dollar mark, and many made at any rate $50,000 thousand dollars for comparative endeavors. Altogether, the province of Florida paid just about 8,000,000 dollars for false nets alone (Stearns, Par.6-8). .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c , .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c .postImageUrl , .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c .focused content region { min-tallness: 80px; position: relative; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c , .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c:hover , .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c:visited , .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c:active { border:0!important; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c .clearfix:after { content: ; show: table; clear: both; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c { show: square; progress: foundation shading 250ms; webkit-change: foundation shading 250ms; width: 100%; mistiness: 1; progress: obscurity 250ms; webkit-change: murkiness 250ms; foundation shading: #95A5A6; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c:active , .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c:hover { haziness: 1; change: darkness 250ms; webkit-change: darkness 250ms; foundation shading: #2C3E50; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c .focused content region { width: 100%; position: relative; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c .ctaText { fringe base: 0 strong #fff; shading: #2980B9; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: intense; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; text-improvement: underline; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c .postTitle { shading: #FFFFFF; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: 600; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; width: 100%; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c .ctaButton { foundation shading: #7F8C8D!important; shading: #2980B9; outskirt: none; outskirt span: 3px; box-shadow: none; text dimension: 14px; textual style weight: striking; line-stature: 26px; moz-outskirt sweep: 3px; text-adjust: focus; text-enrichment: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-stature: 80px; foundation: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/modules/intelly-related-posts/resources/pictures/straightforward arrow.png)no-rehash; position: total; right: 0; top: 0; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c:hover .ctaButton { foundation shading: #34495E!important; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c44 2c8e6df0ca281a4c .focused content { show: table; stature: 80px; cushioning left: 18px; top: 0; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c-content { show: table-cell; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; cushioning right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-adjust: center; width: 100%; } .ua5b3609d5ede1c442c8e6df0ca281a4c:after { content: ; show: square; clear: both; } READ: Human Awareness EssayTo further this endeavor, a blunder in the program expected to reuse the nets for crude materials, made the vast majority of the nets be unloaded rather than reused. It is typically cut by hand witha blade. It is then taken to prossecing plants to be refined. They statrt by squeezing the stick to separate the juice, and afterward heating up the juice until it starts to thicken and sugar starts to crystalliz, at that point turning the precious stones in a rotator to evacuate the syrup, delivering crude sugar. Exposing the Weakness of Saint Anselm of Canterbury’s Ontological Argum

Uncovering the Weakness of Saint Anselm of Canterbury’s Ontological Argument In a universe of logical request, secularism, and the death of God, we are regularly careless of our Glorious God’s presence. With new speculations of neuropsychology, quantum material science, quality treatment, advancement, and psychobiology, we are continually compelled to edge God out of our lives, to be supplanted with chilly, void logical idea. What, with image hypothesis, hereditary inclination, transformative unconstrained age, dim issue, super string hypothesis, multi-layered universes, and the neurological purposes for awareness, we are turning out to be increasingly more far off from the truth that is God. This is disillusioning. This is agonizing. Also, fortunately, this is avoidable. We should look no farther than Saint Anselm and his Ontological Argument of 1077 B.C., and we are again helped to remember the certainty of the Lord’s presence, and His spectacular arrangement for every one of us. Holy person Anselm of Canterbury isn't just the scholar liable for one of the most strong contentions against skepticism, however he is likewise the diocese supervisor liable for deciphering the Holy Bible on the side of the Holy Crusades for Pope Urban II. Without Anselm, we would be without the Ontological Proof, and we could never have battled against the unbeliever Turks, or the barbarian Jews. Along these lines, we are doubly obligated to Saint Anselm, and should accept this open door to get familiar with somewhat more about him: Anselm was one of the early Church Fathers who endeavored to legitimize confidence, not by reference to Holy Scripture, however using rationale and reason alone. Having been motivated by Saint Augustine’s The City of God, (413-426,) Anselm comprehended that to overcome Paganism, he should bolster his ... ...errifying of all, no Yoohoo Chocolate Drink. (A cautious perusing of The Revelations of John demonstrate this to be one aspect of Hell.) In this way, Believe in the Lord, companions, He Must Exist! You need never question again, as the man who questions further backings the evident presence of God Almighty. So as to prevent the presence from claiming God, we should initially consider a God, and so as to imagine a God, God must exist, in light of the fact that the idea of God can be enhanced, and subsequently, God must exist. This closes my article of Saint Anselm of Canterbury’s Ontological Argument. Works Sited: Ian McGreal: Great Thinkers of the Western World. New York, Harper Collins Co., 1992. Pg. 81-86. The population of people in this society is very diverse due to the presence of different ethnic groups. Some of the common groups of people found within the society are Christians and Jews among others.   For the visitors, some cultures are advised to adhere to when they visit this place. For instance, incase one is offering his or her hand for greetings; one should only give the right hand as the left one is considered un clean.When a visitor decides to visit the traditional gatherings of these people or in the mosque, one should be dressed in a modern manner covering the legs, head and the shoulders as a sign of respect and without shoes (Light, 2000 p 151). Cleanliness and hygiene is another aspect that is much treasured by these people. The issue of washing hands is taken very seriously, especially before and after taking a meal. When there is a scarcity of water, people are given some moist towels to clean. Several needs and desires can lead someone to visit a certain place. There are both internal and external factors that can lead to someone doing something. Through close observation of the tourists in their destination, this can help one to decide what motivated them to choose the place (Kuvan, 2005 p.269). Most of the tourists who come in Turkey tourists’ destinations are driven by the dire need of recreation, whereby they take a break to rest from their daily responsibilities to gain momentum for working again. Most of the tourists who visit the Turkey Parks spend their time watching the cultural activities in the park and seeing other historical monuments as they try to understand the cultural heritage of the place.For the young tourist, Turkey is the place to enjoy the freedom that they do not get at their residential plac es. At home, they work with restrictions of time and places to visit, but at their destination, they do not even need to use a clock as they spend most of their time absorbed in games and other leisure activities (Kuvan, 2005 p.270). Their moments in the parks or in any other Turkey tourist destination create an opportunity for them to experience the extraordinary and the unfamiliar things that rarely happen in their countries. Some of them even try to dress like the people in Turkey societies to feel as part of them.Promotions of Turkey tourismThe travel agencies have played a great part in promoting this place to a tourist destination. These agencies have a wide network of giving out some brochures containing the information of Miniature Park (Kuvan, 2005 p.268). Some of the important information found in these brochures includes the type of lifestyle the tourist should expect, the surrounding environment, and the quality of accommodation available in the nation. Use of websites i s another way that has promoted the services of Turkey tourist destinations a great deal. The tourists who may be in dire need of resting and meditating in a silent place mostly like watching these happen.There are those tourists who want to be busy all through to avoid bored om; these would prefer to take part in some performances that are taking place (Kuvan, 2005 p.273). In most of the Turkey’s tourist destinations, both activities have been observed where tourists take part in some cultural practices done there, while others just walk around the place reading the historical records of the empires as they watch the architectural arts. Most of the tourist sites in Turkey like the Parks have provided tourists with activities that they can engage in like swimming pools and gift shops where they participate in buying various gifts for their loved ones. Within the parks, museums, and other destinations tourists are allowed to take photos that keep them busy and participatory.The impact of tourism on societies in TurkeyTourism in Turkey had both positive and negative impacts. Through tourism, the people in the neighboring society have been able to maintain their culture and learn more things concerning their culture (Gezici, 2006 p.447). Through tourism, the people around the place have gotten financial support through presentation of their culture to the tourists. Through tourism, the society has gained more recognition and fame than before. The level of education has also increased through the tour guides learning more than one language to communicate well with the tourists. The only negative impact that resulted from tourism is through some tourists getting involved in some disrespectable behaviors like drug abuse, and commercial sex behaviors. Through these behaviours, the culture of several societies within the country is left at stake.Accommodation in Turkey Tourist destinationsTourists who visit Turkey have accessibility of various styles of accommodations. There are big five stars hotels within the compound of most of these destinations that offers high quality accommodation that accomplishes their luxury and fit for their budgets (Kuvan, 2005 p.265). Some of the best experiences found in their accommodations are the presenc e of the hot bathing water, swimming pools, room refreshers, and high technology televisions. Outside the compound of most destinations, there is also availability of high quality accommodation services that the tourists can use. There are good services offered by the neighbors to make them comfortable and fully enjoy their stay in Turkey.Gastronomic experiencesWithin the city and big towns of Turkey, there are restaurants that prepare various international foods for the tourists. In addition, they also have an opportunity to eat what they deserve from the outside caterers in the surrounding shopping centers (Cooper etal., 1995 p. 30). The availability of the cooking courses in the tourist destinations is the best source of attraction for the gastronomic tourists. Some goes to the market to see the various cooking components that are sold, and buy some cooking items. They get a chance to prepare a meal for them, and later enjoy it. Most tourist destinations in Turkey have provided a ll sorts of cooking materials as well as different types of meats to fit every individual who visits the place.Transportation                                                                                                                                                                                                                   In Turkey, there are all sorts of transports available. Within the compounds of several parks, one can travel through a train especially the young children enjoy it very much. Moving from one point of the park to the other, tourists make use of air-conditioned minibuses especially for the tourists whom prefer the most comfortable travels (Kuvan, 2005 p.264). Taxis are also available in Museums and Park for the tourists who want to explore the farthest corners of the park. There is availability of motor bikes and cars that the tourist can use when they wish to move from one place to another. Transport services in Turkey generally are very effective.Concl usionTurkey tourist destinations provide a wide experience for all types of tourists. (American) Identity Fraud Jill Lepores New Narrative - Literature Essay Samples

Men of influence throughout history have endeavored to shape their own identities and public personas, to many effects. America, and its great experiment of democracy, was to foster an equal, equitable, and responsible government and society, one where the leaders were selected on their merits and governed based on the will of the people. Given the disingenuous images of three American icons explored in Jill Lepore’s â€Å"The Story of America†, in particular Thomas Jefferson and his scrupulous exterior, Washington’s firm and resolute visage, and Kit Carson’s larger-than-life action hero bravado the American identity appears as a morally strong, decisive, stoic, and assertive, all traits that Jefferson, Washington, and Carson had ascribed to them despite not being wholly accurate. The American identity is an ideal that these men could not measure up to, so they forged an American identity of their own one of deceit in their public images: â€Å"Thomas Jefferson, Author of the Declaration of Independence, of the statute of Virginia for religious freedom, and Father of the University of Virginia† reads the gravestone of the third President of the United States. These are the deeds by which Thomas Jefferson wanted to be, and indeed is, remembered by. He is seen as a model man of the past who, despite being a controversial slaveholder, could do no wrong. Many misdeeds in Thomas Jefferson’s life were swept under the rug for the sake of his reputation, including a prolonged affair with one of his numerous slaves, Sally Hemings. An alleged affair between Jefferson and Hemings began in 1789, after she was acquired by the Jeffersons from Mr. John Wayles, Thomas’s father-in-law. Thus began the practice of keeping his reputation clean from any specu lation. To the public, Thomas Jefferson was loved by the people, trying to keep the government as far away from tyranny as possible. He was a role model in the society of that time, setting an example for those that followed. Due to these being the characteristics and reputation of Jefferson, any thoughts on the affair or â€Å"attempting to piece together a plausible view of the matter were illegitimate speculation, as grave an offense as lying†(Lepore, 202). There was zero tolerance for any kind of slander towards Thomas Jefferson in this regard, ensuring that Jefferson would be precisely remembered how he wanted and for what reflected best on him. In this case, â€Å"the real scandal was how far historianshad been willing to go to ignore the evidence right in front of them†(Lepore, 200). Despite there being DNA evidence of a father-Jefferson, the blame was projected onto his nephew Peter Carr, as not to tarnish the disingenuous personality and life of Thomas Jeffers on. Where Jefferson endeavored to hide his significant breaches of morality from the public, Washington was able to hide all but the most lofty parts of his own personality. Washington, as quoted by Lepore, is regarded by biographer Ron Chernow as â€Å"the most famously elusive figure in American history†(131). This is because even before he was elected as the first President of the United States, Washington and his contemporaries began shaping his reputation and character toward that of an ideal, humble, seemingly perfect man, smoothing over any other extant kernels of his image. Many stories and claims about Washington helped to form this persona, including Mark Twain saying that Washington could not tell a lie. While it is most likely that George Washington was not a frequent liar, he still specifically chose exactly how he was portrayed and presented to others. He was seen by the people as a man who â€Å"embodied the new nation’s vision of itself: virtuous, undaunted , and incorruptible†(Lepore, 134). During this infantile stage of the United States, Washington knew that a strong, respectable leader was needed and that in taking this position he would be put down in history books, causing him to assume the characteristics needed to assure the people. This highly contrasts with the actual George Washington, a hypersensitive, moderately neurotic man. Having been subjected to growing up with a carping mother who was â€Å"‘strangely indifferent’ toward her oldest son’s towering ambition†(Lepore, 142), Washington felt a deep need for approval for the rest of his life. This also led to trouble dealing with his emotions, â€Å"the genesis of the stoical personality that would later define him so indelibly†(Lepore, 142). While this stoicism presented well in an authority figure, it hid significant insecurities and a fractured man yearning for approval. Having these attributes was not advantageous for a decorated general of the Continental Army and President of the United States, so Washington created a disingenuous public personality to gain and fortify his position in both the people’s hearts and the history books. Kit Carson, a man well known for his valor, heart, and ability to murder Indians had a persona created for him that was mostly untrue. While he may have killed a few Native Americans in his war days, Carson was not an Indian-Killer as he had been turned into through biographies and dime novels. Through the first biography written about him by DeWitt Clinton Peters, â€Å"he wanted to set the record straight. He soon found out he had failed†(Lepore, 211). In this biography, the image by which Carson would be haunted for the rest of his life was formed. Kit was portrayed as a man who killed two Indians at a time, a knife in each hand, saving and wooing women in the process. This is shown to not be the true Carson in the case of Ann White, a woman who had been taken captive by Native Americans. Carson and his team could not get to her in time, and when they found her dead, there was a copy of â€Å"Kit Carson†, causing him to realize that he was not the man who he was thou ght to be through these novels. He claims, â€Å"I was made a great hero, slaying Indians by the hundred†(Lepore, 212), but when these are read about, it creates a false advertisement of personality. Carson realized that poor Anne White â€Å"had held out hope for a man who never existed†(Lepore, 212). Kit Carson was made to be more of an action movie hero than a real-life soldier, creating a fraudulent and disingenuous reputation for him that he could never live up to. Even on his deathbed being told, â€Å"Look ‘ere, you ain’t the kind of Kit Carson I’m looking for† (Lepore, 219). Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Kit Carson forged their own American identities through erasure, deception, and extravagant glory. These men created or kept up these false public images to bolster their reputations as strong leaders, minds, and soldiers, mainly for the sake of the people. As President, it was vital that Jefferson and Washington were loved and trusted by the people of the United States, so they expunged any scandals or insecurities tied to them, to give the image of a stoic, authoritative, but not corrupt or debauched, leader. In the case of Kit Carson, his false American identity was formed independent of his own wishes. He intended to tell the truth of his tribulations, but as they became more and more like an action movie, people began to latch on, associating it with him no matter what. Throughout the course of their lives, these disingenuous and deceitful personas were placed on these men to help save their reputations, and eventually legacies, from bein g tarnished and in turn, strengthening them. There are billions of characteristics of Americans, but there is not one exact answer to â€Å"What makes an American American?† It is a person’s life, reputation, and legacy that define their identity as one.

Learning Styles Holistic or Global Learning

Are you accused of daydreaming while doing your homework? Do you like to be alone, just to think? If so, you could be a holistic learner. There are many differences of opinion when it comes to cognitive styles. Some researchers support the notion of two types of processing methods for brains that are called  holistic and analytic learners. What are the Characteristics of a Holistic Thinker? We sometimes refer to holistic learners as  the student type who is deep and contemplative. This type of student—the  smart over-achiever who sometimes comes across as  scatterbrained  and disorganized—can  sometimes become annoyed by his or her own brain. Holistic brains need  to take their time when encountering a new concept or a new chunk of information. It takes a while for a holistic thinking person to allow new concepts to sink in, so it can become frustrating to someone who doesnt understand that this is natural and perfectly fine. If you have ever read a page and felt like it was all fuzzy in your head after the first read, only to discover that the information slowly begins to come together and make sense, you could be a holistic thinker. Here are a few more characteristics. They dwell on information  and make constant mental comparisons when they encounter new material.They like to compare new concepts to concepts they already know, even as they read, using mental pictures, similes or analogies.Because of the constant thinking about thinking, holistic brain types seem to be frustratingly slow when it comes to answering questions. This is the trait that makes students reluctant to raise their hands in class. But holistic learners shouldnt get too frustrated with the seemingly slow process of learning. This type of learner is particularly good at evaluating and breaking down information. This is so important when conducting research and writing technical papers like the process essay. Once you decide you are a holistic learner, you can use your strengths to improve your study skills. By zeroing in on your strengths, you can get more out of study time. Are You a Holistic or Global Learner? A holistic (big picture) person likes to start with a big idea or concept, then go on to study and understand the parts. As a global learner, you may be more likely to respond to a problem with emotion first, instead of logic.You can accept an algebra equation without understanding how it works.You may be late for school a lot because you think about everything. And you think while you do everything.You tend to remember faces, but forget names. You may act on impulse. You might be just fine with  playing music while you study. (Some students cant concentrate while music plays.)You might not raise your hand much to answer questions  because it takes you a while to sort out your answer.When you eventually do come up with an answer, it is much more thorough than the quick answer you heard five minutes ago.You are likely to read and read and become frustrated, and then suddenly â€Å"get it.† Problems Some holistic learners tend to glaze over material to pursue the big idea. That can be costly. Often, those small details show up on tests! Holistic or global learners can spend so much time thinking they react too late. Holistic Thinkers  Study Tips A holistic learner may benefit from the following. Pay attention to outlines. If your teacher offers an outline at the beginning of a new term, always copy it down. Outlines will help you establish a framework for storing new information.Make your own outline. This is a good way to remember important details youd otherwise miss. The visual tool helps your brain organize more quickly.Don’t skip introduction or summary. You will benefit from reading these before you read the actual book. Again, it is important for holistic learners to establish a framework early for storing and applying concepts.Look for boundaries. Holistic learners may have trouble discerning where one concept or event ends and another begins. It might be helpful for you to establish the concrete beginning and ending points.Ask for examples. Your brain likes to make comparisons, so the more examples, the better. Write down the examples, but label them as examples so youre not confused later. (Your notes tend to be disorganized.)Use images. Use pictures and cha rts if they are offered. When reading a long passage or explanation, make your own charts and pictures.Draw timelines. This is another way of creating boundaries. Your brain likes them.Look at sample assignments. Your brain likes to use examples as a frame of reference. Without them, it’s sometimes hard for you to know where to start.Make drawings of concepts. The more you can sketch out and characterize concepts, the better. Using political parties as an example, you could draw circles and label them. Then, fill in sub-circles of beliefs and established ideologies.  Make summaries as you progress. There is a difference between passive and active reading. You need to become an active reader to remember your material. One tactic is to stop after each segment to write a brief summary.Use a time-keeper tool. Holistic learners can get carried away thinking of possibilities and lose track of time.Avoid thinking of all the possibilities. Holistic learners like to make comparisons and find relationships. Don’t get distracted from the task at hand.

Aggregation in Java Definition and Examples

Aggregation in Java  is a relationship between two classes that is best described as a has-a and whole/part relationship. It is a more specialized version of the association relationship. The aggregate class contains a reference to another class and is said to have ownership of that class. Each class referenced is considered to be part-of the aggregate class. Ownership occurs because there can be no cyclic references in an aggregation relationship. If Class A contains a reference to Class B and Class B contains a reference to Class A then no clear ownership can be determined and the relationship is simply one of association. For example, if you imagine that a Student class that stores information about individual students at a school. Now assume a Subject class that holds the details about a particular subject (e.g., history, geography). If the Student class is defined to contain a Subject object then it can be said that the Student object has-a Subject object. The Subject object also makes up part-of the Student object —  after all, there is no student without a subject to study. The Student object, therefore, owns the Subject object. Examples Define an aggregation relationship between Student class and the Subject class  as follows:   public class Subject {private String name;public void setName(String name)  Ã‚  {this.name name;}public String getName(){return name;}}public class Student {private Subject[] studyAreas new Subject[10];//the rest of the Student class}

I often believe that women are the catalyst for nations’ development given equal rights to education, justice, occupation, suffrage and other services.   The silence and the vulnerability of women and children in developing countries like Zaire have awakened my drive to fight for the rights of the unheard and the helpless. Since childhood, I have always pictured a world where people are equal in rights and nobody is above the rest in terms of allocation of basic services, education, laws and job opportunities. We will write a custom essay sample on Admission-Application essay or any similar topic only for you Order Now    I have closely witnessed the unfair treatment to women and children who are often victims of human rights violation.   I have often wondered why there are more men in politics, schools and in the workplace. Silently, I have also questioned why society has embraced a system where women should remain at home and are not treated as important members of the society.   At a young age, I could not accept the discrimination in my country.   I understand that it is impossible for me to solve all the problems facing women and children but I know that something must be done. I have carefully studied my options in finding ways to be the voice that will awaken women in their important roles in the family, community and country.   One of the avenues that I have chosen was to work as a social worker.   To date, I am fulfilled in the profession that I have pursued.   Nothing is more rewarding than to see the helpless rise from poverty, oppression and discrimination. In my years of service, I have worked in a variety of settings within a framework of relevant legislation and procedures to support individuals, families and groups within the community.   These settings include schools, hospitals, public sectors and organizations. I have also worked closely with the health and social care staff.   When I was involved with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), I have pushed for the integration of health and social work services for women and children in my country.   Together with a multidisciplinary team, I have worked on the family code of Zaire to give equal parental rights to both spouses. This has replaced the previous concept of paternal authority.   Both parents have the same duties to care for their children.   Women are given the right to marriage and choice of spouses.   They are also given the right to inherit.   Both women and men acquired legal capacity at the age of 18.   They are both equally free to enter into marriage with the consent of both future spouses.   Women and children are not required to perform forced or compulsory labor, except as provided for by law. Although there are still so much that remain to be done to give wives equal rights similar to their husbands, the family code is a step forward for Zairian women.   As a social worker, I have also worked to ameliorate the living conditions of women by making them self sufficient. Through livelihood training and seminars, women can now engage in a small business to alleviate them from poverty.   I have also supervised 300 people and became the agriculture and rural development counselor of the governor of Zaire. Other than having an undergraduate degree and license in Social Work, I have also earned a post Graduate degree in Nutrition in Belgium. Being of service to women and children in terms of poverty alleviation, educational provision and allocation of medical and health care services has always been my passion.   Now that I am already a US citizen, I would like to move to the Department of Social Work so I can continue my work as a social worker in a larger scale. After witnessing domestic violence, child abuse, neglect, delinquency and other social problems in the community, I felt that something should be done.   This has motivated me to become a social worker in the local and international community. I would like to advocate for social justice and be the voice for those who are deprived of their basic human rights.   With my utmost dedication and perseverance, I would like to see more women and children around the world living in contented and productive lives that are free of abuse and discrimination. Marketing - Converse Case Study free essay sample

Case Study Creating a marketing strategy isn’t always about taking a hands-on approach and facilitating how consumers should think of a certain brand. Converse All Stars took an alternative route, a â€Å"stand-back approach† giving its customers control over marketing its shoe brand. As a result, Converse delivered a customer-brand relationship where the needs, wants and demands of its customers were met by a pair of All Star Chucks. The needs, wants and demand of customers is a major customer and marketplace concept. Human â€Å"needs† are states of felt deprivation that could be of a physical need like for food and clothing, social need like for affection or individual needs like for learning or self-expression. Wants are forms of needs that are derived from cultures and individual personality (i. e. specific types of food like Asian, American or Mexican are specific wants for food). Demands of customers are also factored in when customers’ wants are supported by their ability to make purchases. Legalization of the Same Sex Marriage in California

Same sex marriage in California has taken a different route as compared to the other states in America. With effect from June 2008, the state allowed and licensed same sex marriages, being the second state to take that step. The rationale behind this as indicated by a ruling made by the Supreme Court was founded on the need for protection and respect to decisions made by the citizens, in this case those who practice homosexuality.Advertising We will write a custom research paper sample on Legalization of the Same Sex Marriage in California specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More This ban was however declared unconstitutional by the federal court in 2010, a decision that was granted full support by the United States court of appeal in 2012 (University of California, 2010). From this therefore, same sex marriages in California are being governed from three perspectives which are the law, Prop8 and the Supreme Court. The perspective of the law, according to the federal court in California, indicates that the ban on same sex marriages is unlawful and against the constitution since it violates the human rights dignity of a section of the society. The Californian parliament voted in support of same sex marriages, making it the first state to take such an action. This was however met with great controversy especially from the religious communities, most of which claimed that this was a defilement to the sanctity of marriage. They alleged that these kinds of marriages created an environment that is not fit for the healthy development of children. This controversy is what led to the development of Proposition 8, an amendment that was taken to the polls in 2008 (Head, 2009). Proposition 8, which is motion supporting a ban on same sex marriage, was passed in 2008 by way of vote, since the proposition to ban same sex marriage got more than 50 percent of the votes. This was however opposed by the court indicating that it denied the rights of the minority for no reason. They indicated that the law proposing the ban on same sex marriage had no legal ground but was only aimed at denying the gay couples the rights associated with legal and registered marriages (National Conference of State Legislature, 2008). The argument of the judge who supported this ban was that the society needed children to be raised in heterosexual families for healthy growth. Five months before passing prop 8, same sex marriages had been legalized by the Supreme Court and this led to the bending of some laws which previously limited the definition of marriage to the union between man and woman (National conference of state legislatures, 2008).Advertising Looking for research paper on government? This was opposed by the gay commun ity who alleged that it required an approval of 2/3 of the legislative votes before being brought out in the public for the polls, a condition that was not adhered to. The Supreme Court of California maintains that the ban on same sex marriages is unethical since every person is at liberty to make their own decisions as long as they do not interfere with other people’s freedom, a ruling made in 2012. This court denounced the prop 8 ban, comparing this ban to racial or gender discriminations, which were highly condemned. It stated that this ruling failed to provide a reasonable ground for the denial of these so called human rights. (University of California, 2010). Still in the opposition of the ban, the Supreme Court went ahead to claim same sex marriages did not in any way affect the upbringing of children. Still in this regard the judges of the Supreme Court required that federal state of California to revise rules related to the ban of same sex marriages. In this regard, t he California university law publication article Sexuality gender law: Assessing the field, envisioning the future: symposium (2010) indicates that a family does not necessarily constitute woman and man, but any two people with a mutual consent to live together as husband and wife. From this ruling it is clear that the Supreme Court supports same sex marriages and requires that any law that stands in the way of this should be repealed so that to give them privileges similar to those of their heterosexual counterparts (Leff, 2012). Conclusion In conclusion, the position of same sex marriages in California seems to be a great controversy to date. The gay citizens are few but with the backup they get from the legal body, they stand a chance to win in the debate. In the 2-1 ruling, it would have been argued that the sitting judge at that time was supporting his own interest owing to his sexual nature.Advertising We will write a custom research paper sample on Legalization of the Same Sex Marriage in California specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More This allegation was however proved wrong when the judge who succeeded him maintained the same position (CNN US, 2008). They simply believe it is against human rights to ban same sex marriages. Therefore Prop8 appears to be losing its stand since it is discredited for lack of sufficient basis for the claims. Technology in the classroom Essays

Technology in the classroom Essays Technology in the classroom Essay Technology in the classroom Essay Technology in the classroom BY dance2013 Rossing, J. , Miller, W. , Cecil, A. , Stamper, S. (2012). Learning: The future of higher education? Student perceptions on learning with mobile tablets. Journal of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. 12(2), 1-26. http://files. eric. ed. gov/fulltext/ EJ978904. pdf Wright, V. , Wilson, D. (2012). Teachers Use of Technology: Lessons Learned from the Teacher Education Program to the Classroom. SRATE Journal. 20(2148-60. http:// files. eric. ed. gov/fulltext/EJ959529. pdf How does learning through technology affect a childs learning outcome? To try and nswer this question I searched multiple databases in order to find research. The databases I found the most research on were ERIC. I know this database is appropriate for the topic because they are websites that provide links to articles that have to do with Human Development and Family Science. ERIC allows you to narrow the results down to show only peer-reviewed articles and so I did that to make sure that they are reliable and appropriate sources. The first article was published in Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, which is a very reliable Journal. It has been around for many years and it is very consistent. The second article is published in SRATE Journal, which I found to be of great quality. I know this because, like the first article, it has many sources and that shows that the research had been done in depth and found reliable information to be presented in the article. In the first article there are four authors, all affiliated to Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The authors are: Jonathan P. Rossing, Willie M. Miller, Amanda K. Cecil, and Suzan E. Stamper. I think the authors are very credible because they have done their research and each of them either work at the University or is a professor. The second article has two authors: Vivian H. Wright, Professor at University of Alabama and Elizabeth K. Wilson, also a Professor at University of Alabama. I think they are both very credible, same as with the first source, because they are reliable professors and have information from a lot of that are cited are mostly all Journals. Examples of resources they used that I may want to look at for my paper are, Wivian Wright, Elizabeth Wilson, 2011. Technology integration is generally promoted as a method to enhance teaching and learning. And Jonathan P. Rossing, William M. Miller, Amanda K. Cecil, Suzan E. Stamper. 2012. The future of higher education? Student perceptions on learning with mobile tablets. Some terminology that is used is mobile tablets, meaning iPads or computers over textbooks and technology integration, also meaning computers over textbooks. The topic I am going to be writing my paper on is technology and how it affects a childs learni ng outcome. I have heard multiple opinions about how technology affects a childs learning outcome, both positive and negative sides. I am going to be doing research to see if technology truly is a positive or a negative contribution to a lassroom. My goal is to find out the affects of learning through technology is more beneficial than using textbooks or if technology is a negative contribution to childrens learning. The first article, iLearning: The future of higher education? Student perceptions on learning with mobile tablets, is talking about the use of mobile technology on college campuses and how technology will be the future of the classroom, including learning activities, research, and even communication between the teachers and students. However, is it a good thing or a bad thing? The authors discover that ntegrating technology into the classroom can contribute to useful academic outcomes, such as: digital video, podcasts, tablet computers. They also found that technology could support social construction of learning, assessment, motivation, and the students engagement in learning. On the other hand, they found a major problem with integrating technology into the classroom is income. They also discovered that the digital technology assistance in solving in teaching or learning practices are not clearly defined, and does not give you the clear help and guidance a teacher offers. This article provides both viewpoints of why technology can be a ositive attribute or a negative one. They first showed the positive contribution technology brings to a classroom and stated those contributions. They found that learning through technology allows students to expand discussion and investigation beyond the classroom. It enables them to collaborate and create knowledge and to interact with a larger range of content. The study consisted, in total, 209 II-JPLJI students participated in the study; students participation had no bearing on their status in the course and did not affect their grade in any way. For the negative aspect of technology in a classroom, income omes to mind (Cecil 2012). The relate is a survey that is meant to collect data in four open-ended questions consis ting of: how the iPads helped or limited learning, two things you liked about using it, two things you disliked about using it, and any suggestions for other ways to use the iPads. The results of this study led to finding both negative and positive aspects that technology brings to the classroom. They found educators using iPads or other mobile technology in the classroom must be committed to learning how to use devices effectively in classroom instruction and to working through the learning curve akes time to get use to and can be beneficial for students and teachers; for example, it can cause a bigger scale of communication for the entire class. However, the authors do mention a few limitations to this study. Those limitations are: only researching the outcomes of using an iPad, iPads have only been in the market for a few years, and the study is limited to student perceptions of learning and engagement. The interdisciplinary nature of this study made assessing student learning outcomes difficult due to the varied expectations and learning outcome easures from the arts and humanities to the hard sciences. Therefore, future research should include discipline specific studies that measure how mobile technology affects specific learning outcomes (Rossing 2012). With that being said, this study was limited to a specific population of people and when it is conducted next time it should use random sampling method. If the study were to use people whos first language is English, it may have ended with different results. Therefore, the researchers should have tested a variety of technologies, not Just Pads, and a larger scale of people. The second article, Teachers Use of Technology: Lessons Learn ed from the Teacher Education Program to the Classroom, is talking about how technology affects a teachers role in the classroom. They based their research on ten teachers perceptions of technology integration and technology use in their classrooms, five years after their graduation from a teacher education program which encouraged technology use in teaching and learning (Wright 2011). For this research, the authors interviewed and observed eight male and two female teachers who were currently teaching five years in a middle or high school classroom. The environment these teachers had to create were purely based on learning from technology. These teachers were exposed to multiple technologies such as: online discussions, interactive whiteboards, and online portfolios. These teachers received additional training in emerging technologies. The technology faculty member was also active in helping to develop the states technology standards and had initiated a Master Technology Teacher partnership with local middle and high school teachers. Qualitative data sources consisted of surveys and reflections, completed by the articipants during their teaching methods class and their internship. The interviews occurred during each teachers class preparation time or before/after school hours (Wright Wilson 2012). Moreover, the researchers spent countless hours interviewing and examining surveys to find out how much of an impact technology has on a teacher and learning. The results of this study gained positive feedback on the impact technology has on the teachers and learning outcome. They researchers found that the participants were given multiple technology applications and skills in developing their electronic ortfolio. The teachers continued to become familiar with ways to utilize basic technology skills and how to incorporate it into their teacher education program. Surprisingly, the authors did not have limitations during their study. This study was a true to form experiment. It allowed a good set of participants that were not too broad or too narrow. Given the fact that they received additional help could have altered the result, imagine if those teachers were not given extra help on improving their results. In conclusion, I found both these articles to be helpful in finding out how echnology can affect a teacher and a students learning outcome. They give clear evidence to support their arguments and to me it was not surprising to read the end results. I would have assumed there were positive and negative attributes in bringing technology into a classroom. However, I know this topic can last for an eternity because technology is always changing and progressing so we may never truly know how it can impact a teacher or a students learning outcome, we simply continue to do research for the present time and only hope to improve what needs the improvement.

The Hunger Games Book One Review

The Hunger Games Book One Review In The Hunger Games, author Suzanne Collins has created a fascinating dystopian world. The Hunger Games is a compelling novel focusing on life in an authoritarian society in which young people must compete to the death in the annual Hunger Games. The main character, 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, volunteers for the Hunger Games to keep her younger sister from being required to participate and her experiences and fight to survive are the heart of the book. Reading The Hunger Games can lead to interesting discussions about our own world and how reality shows, threats of war, authoritarian governments and obsession with fashion trends influence us daily. Due to the darkness of the story, it is best suited for teens and adults rather than tweens, although many younger kids have read the book or seen the movie or both. Panem: the World of the Hunger Games Trilogy While the creation of Panem is not fully fleshed out until the second book, we know that this authoritarian society was the result of a horrible disaster during the Dark Days, resulting in the establishment of twelve districts under the rule of the government in the Capitol. Peacekeepers and a local government are instituted in each district, but the rulers in the Capitol have strict control over everything and everyone in each district. Each district has its own specialty that benefits the Capitol, such as coal mining, agriculture, seafood, etc. Some districts provide the Capitol with energy or material goods and some provide the manpower to keep those in the Capitol in power. The people who live in the Capitol contribute little to their own sustenance and are concerned mainly with the latest fashions and amusements. The Hunger Games are an annual tradition directed by the Capitol rulers, not only to amuse the citizens  but also to preserve control over the districts by demonstrating the Capitols dominance. Each year, the twelve districts must send two representatives, a girl and a boy, to participate in the Hunger Games. These representatives are called â€Å"tributes† to make people believe that representing their district is an honor, even though each person lives in fear that someone they love will be chosen. And the entire nation must watch as these 24 tributes battle each other to the death until only one is left as the victor. Having a victor is important to a district - extra food and a few luxuries will be granted to the winners district. The government has created the ultimate reality show, complete with technological challenges and constant monitoring of the movements of the participants. Each citizen is required to watch the Games until their conclusion, which may take hours or days. Summary of the  Story Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen has been providing for her family since her father’s death in a mining accident. She has done this by illegally hunting beyond the boundaries of District 12 and using the game she kills for food or for barter. Through her skill with a bow and her ability to track and snare rabbits and squirrels, her family has been able to survive. They have also survived because Katniss signs up for the tessera, a ration of grain that is given in exchange for placing your name in the lottery for the reaping, the ceremony that determines who will be the district’s representative in the Games. Everyone’s name goes in the lottery from the time they reach the age of 12 until they turn 18. Each time Katniss exchanges her name for the tessera, her chances of being the one whose name is called increase. Only it isn’t her name that is called it is her sister’s. Prim Everdeen is the one person that Katniss loves above all others. She is only 12, quiet, loving and on her way to being a healer. She would not be able to survive the reaping and Katniss knows this. When Prim’s name is called, Katniss immediately volunteers to take her place as a tribute from District 12 to the Hunger Games. Katniss knows that it is not only her own life on the line in the games, but that others will benefit as well if she is the victor and her skills as a hunter will give her an edge in the Games. But her life as a tribute becomes more complicated by the other tribute from District 12. Peeta Mellark, the baker’s son, is a boy that Katniss owes a favor because of a kindness that he showed her when she was most desperate and her family’s survival was at stake. And Katniss knows that now her survival will mean his death. Katniss is whisked away from her family and Gale, her best friend and hunting partner, to the Capitol, where she is prepped and primped to participate in the Games. She and Peeta are to be mentored by Haymitch, the only tribute that District 12 has had who was a winner of the Games. But Haymitch is a reluctant and seemingly inadequate mentor, so Katniss realizes she must rely on her own strengths in order to survive. As the first book of the trilogy, The Hunger Games is compelling reading and makes the reader want to read the next book immediately to find out what happens to Katniss and Peeta. Katniss is a strong character who solves her own problems and takes charge of her own life. Her struggles with her divided affections between two boys are realistically portrayed but not overwrought. And her tendency to inadvertently create problems can spark many conversations about whether she was right or wrong and whether she stayed true to who she is. Katniss is a character that readers will not soon forget. About the Author, Suzanne Collins With the Hunger Games trilogy, Suzanne Collins, award-winning author of the Underland Chronicles, brings her talents to a new trilogy aimed at a more mature audience than her books about Gregor, the Overlander. Collins was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2010, an honor that was based on the popularity of the first two books in the Hunger Games trilogy. In its popularity and impact, the trilogy has been compared to other popular fantasy novels for young people, such as the Twilight series and the Harry Potter series. Collins’ experience as a television writer enables her to create stories that appeal to tweens and teens. Suzanne Collins also wrote the screenplay for the movie adaptations of The Hunger Games. Review and Recommendation The Hunger Games will appeal to teens, ages 13 and up. The 384-page book contains violence and strong emotions so younger tweens may find it disturbing. The writing is excellent and the plot propels the reader through the book at a rapid rate. This book has been chosen by Kansas State University to be given to all of the incoming freshmen to read so that they will all be able to discuss it throughout the campus and in their classes. It has also become assigned reading in many high schools. The book is rich in discussion points not only about governments, personal freedom, and sacrifice but also about what it means to be yourself and not submit to society’s expectations. For information on challenges to the book, see The Hunger Games Trilogy. (Scholastic Press, 2008. Entrepreneurship Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Entrepreneurship - Research Paper Example Such a simplistic definition is not so all-encompassing as the true definition of the word; however, it helps provide the reader with a baseline of pre-conceived notions regarding the scope of understanding associated with entrepreneurship. As compared to a host of other types of jobs accessible to people, being an entrepreneur is unique in that it requires an individual with a host of natural, learned, and inborn talents to compete successfully in hostile marketplace. As such, the successful entrepreneur must embody self-discipline, timeliness, attention to detail, readiness to risk, calmness, and self sacrifice, just to name a few. Furthermore, it is incumbent on most entrepreneurs to be responsible for nearly every aspect of business management in the beginning stages of business start-up. As a result, the burdens associated with accounting, cash flow, marketing, support, product development, and market entry and expansion can often be too heavy a burden to bear for a single indiv idual, which often leads to eventual withdrawal of a business from the market before any recognizable profit potential is generated. Accordingly, the most dangerous stage of entrepreneurship is the uncertain outset, when cash flow has not been established, personnel have not been hired, and the kinds of product/service supply and demand have not yet been fully differentiated. However, although this analysis has briefly acquainted the reader with a very simplistic definition of entrepreneurship, the complicated paths, directions, and decisions associated with entrepreneurship are infinitely more complex than can be implied by a cursory definition of the term. For instance, one of the primary needs that an entrepreneur must address is which direction he/she wishes to take his/her growing firm in the future. Business owners or would-be business owners are often acutely aware that they wish to run their own business but often less aware of which form that business will take in order to generate profits and provide them stable employment. For instance, would-be entrepreneurs are often acutely unaware if they wish to pursue sole proprietorships, general partnerships, limited partnerships, regular corporations, S corporations, non-profit corporations, professional corporations, limited liability corporations, professional limited liability corporations, or partnership limited liability corporations. Each of these forms of incorporation has varying advantages and drawbacks; accordingly, each will be determined based on the type of business one is engaged in, how many overall partners may eventually be included, the size and scope of the business in its ideal form, as well as the amount of money the business is expected to generate in 1, 5, and 10 years time. On the overall level of difficulty, sole proprietorships are often the easiest to create and maintain. Because the business and the owner are essentially the same entity, decision-making comes down to a single per son without the need to consult boards, chairpersons, or shareholders (Freeman, 2007). Additionally, sole proprietorships also offer a degree of cost savings due to the fact that there are no fees associated with the creation of the business entity. However, the main disadvantage of this type of business is that the owner is directly and personally responsible for any losses, legal issues, and/or judgments. A second major drawback is the

Human resource-Manage industrial relations-report Essay

Human resource-Manage industrial relations-report - Essay Example Human resource management seems to complement industrial relations as it focuses on employers policies in order to manage the employment relation (Gardner & Palmer, 1997, p. 591). In addition to the above strategy the organization will incorporate strong corporate culture along with better management support as it is an ideal industrial relation situation and vital as the management recognizes the value and importance of the workplace. Thus adopting to the above mentioned strategy will lead the organization to have an effective industrial relation policy for its employees and employers in together. Effectiveness of the Policy Adopting the complementary approach organization will be able to emerge in the field of industrial relation. It focuses mainly on the productivity of the industry and will help the organization to achieve competitive advantage. The policy will take care of the employment system in the workplace and includes human resource as well as labor relation practices. The refore the policy will help the organization in both strategic manner and to meet the operational needs. The complementary approach will provide the organization with competitive advantage and the culture of the organization will provide the organization with a well defined policies and industrial relation strategies. Procedures Related To the Policy The policy of the organization is to operate business in a way that will provide as well as preserve harmonious place to work for all its workers within the instrument of industrial relation like agreements and rewards and the management are focused to ensure that the work is carried with minimum disruption and with industrial harmony (Acubis, n.d). When policies are made it is necessary to communicate about the new or revised policy to all the members of the organization and it can be said that communication plays a very important role on the success of the policies in organization. The employees need to know about the benefits of impl ementing the policy such as flexibility of working hours, incentives, training and development. The CEO should be the person to communicate the new industrial policy of the organization to all the employees. In addition to effective communication all industrial relation plans should also include contingency plans. Organization should assess all the potential risk as well as benefits which are associated with negotiation. Risk in relation to the implementation of new policy should be analyzed.
